Our unique camp offers a broad range of tech activities for children of all skill levels. Whether they are new to STEM and coding, or a tech-savvy genius they’ll fit right into one of our upcoming Summer camps.

Tech camp introduces advanced coding concepts of coding through playful projects and puzzles. Exploring Engineering, Circuitry, Gamified Learning, Coding and so much more! As one of the few technology camp providers in England, our teachers develop interactive courses for students, teaching key computer science and coding skills, whilst allowing them to explore their creativity.

Please note that the camp is available to children aged between 5 and 11 years old only. Spaces are limited on all camps.

Summer Tech Camp Activities

WEEK 1 Activities

Robotics, Virtual Reality and Tech Fun

Our Robotics week enables students to take their coding skills to the next level! Build and program Robots to do specific tasks such as complete an obstacle course, dance or answer questions. The possibilities are limitless! Create games and develop visual coding skills and step into the realms of Virtual Reality! We encourage children to experiment and challenge themselves, instilling a variety of exciting, real-world skills.

WEEK 2 Activities

Minecraft and Lego Engineering

Our Minecraft and Lego Engineering week offers a diverse range of activities that will engage your children! They will have the opportunity to explore the world of Minecraft coding and create their own unique games. They’ll also have the chance to explore the world of 3D design and printing, creating their own unique designs and bringing them to life through 3D printing technology. This week is designed to encourage students to experiment and push the boundaries of their creativity, while developing skills that will aid them in their future.

WEEK 3 Activities

Photography, Videography and Crafts

If your child is passionate about media, then our photography and videography week has something really exciting to offer, students will learn the basics of photography and video production fundamentals. Over the week the course offers a complete masterclass in creating proffesional videos and photos – from adjusting the contrast, saturation, filters, subtitles, transitions and key effects. They will even make their own film props at the end of the day with specific crafting proejcts to make their film come to life!

We accept any credit or debit card. (Mastercard, Visa, American Express)

We also accept childcare voucher payments for our camps, please see our reference codes below. If your childcare voucher provider does not appear in the list please contact us on 01442 873150.

HOW TO PAY VIA CHILDCARE VOUCHERS

Please select which form of Childcare voucher you will be using for each child on the booking form. For example, ‘sodexo’

This will reduce your balance to £0, and allow you to checkout using our system. You then need to transfer your outstanding balance via your childcare voucher provider.

WHEN SHOULD I BOOK?

We recommend booking in advance for your holiday camps and after school clubs. We have an overwhelming response when they go live and since we are only able to take a maximum of 15 children per bubble and we have limited spaces due to COVID protocols, so spaces get booked very quickly.

WHAT IF THE CAMP DOESN'T RUN DUE TO COVID-19

We will be in touch to look at moving your booking to a later date when we are operating or to offer a credit note towards any of our future camps.

At NextThing we get students excited about new technologies and cover all subjects of the computing curriculum.

Programming

We introduce children to text-based coding using Python and Raspberry Pi, widely taught in secondary schools.

Creating

From Digital DJing to movie making, we explore creative tech projects with Children to make learning fun.

Inventing

We provide an entertaining introduction to robotics and engineering, and encourage children to invent and explore.

Exploring

Enter a virtual world where creativity is limitless. We test students with exciting challenges and projects.
